Michael holds both a BS and MS in Information Systems from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  He was employed by the United States Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington DC for over 10 years where he designed, developed, and managed application systems in areas such as accounting, procurement, and asset management using technologies ranging in scope from COBOL to Oracle 9ias.  In addition to his application development experience at NRL, Michael has also developed websites and web-based applications, managed website and application hosting environments, and written add-on software for the Joomla! Open Source Content Management System.
