Our Company

KABAM.net, a family owned and operated business, was officially established in September 2002 to expand on the internet services that founder Michael Carico had been providing businesses and organizations in his "spare time" since 1999. Located near Annapolis, Maryland, KABAM.net offers a wide array of both technical and strategic services in the areas of website design and development, blogs, forums, e-newsletter design, development, and management, e-commerce, and social media. We maintain our own fleet of servers to give our clients the best possible online experience.

Our company name, KABAM, is actually an acronym derived from the the names of our company founders: Katie Carico, Ben Wisthoff, and Michael Carico.

Key Staff

Michael Carico (Online Presence Coach / Manager)

Michael earned both his Bachelor and Master Degrees in Information Systems from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He spent the first 11 years of his professional career at the United States Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington DC where he designed, developed, and managed application systems in areas such as accounting, procurement, and asset management. Michael left the Naval Research Laboratory in February 2006 to lead KABAM.net full-time.

Michael has an expansive knowledge of web-related technologies, strategies, and techniques including website design and development, blogs, forums, e-newsletter design, development, and management, e-commerce, basic server administration, and social media.

In addition to creating custom solutions for our clients, Michael has also written add-on software for the Joomla! Open Source Content Management System.
